People riding bikes through city

The highlights of the February 2022 meeting were the annual election of office holders and a presentation by noted Canadian / Dutch Cycling ambassadors Melissa and Chris Bruntlett.

In the office holder elections, Chair Jonathon Marsden, Secretary Melissa Falkenberg and Treasurer Ross Evans were all re-elected unopposed. Three of the four executive positions were filled by Anna Chen,  Victor Franco and new face Richard Stockman. One exec position remains vacant, as does the position of Deputy Chair.

Moving Forward Together: Advancing Safe, Inclusive and Resilient Streets

Melissa and Chris Bruntlett have made a vocation out of advocating for cycling.
Through books, research and lecture tours, they have literally taken the Dutch cycling experience to the world.
In this 40 minute presentation they outline some of the key learnings and talk about international efforts to translate the Dutch ideas to a variety of local curcumstances. Fascinating and informative.
