Doors open at 6 pm for 6.30 pm start
Metropolitan Transport Forum, with Port Phillip hosting, presents this community forum on transport issues across the municipality of Port Phillip and surrounding areas.
Discussion topics could include:
Growth & Infrastructure: Planning for growth with transport and infrastructure that keeps communities connected.
Safety & Accessibility: Creating safer, more accessible transport options for everyone.
Affordable Transport: Reducing transport costs and improving access to jobs, education, and services.
There will be a Q&A session with questions from the live audience.
Mayor Cr Alex Makin will host the forum, which will provide a respectful and orderly setting for discussion with:
Nina Taylor, ALP MLA for Albert Park
Katherine Copsey, MLC for Southern Metropolitan
David Southwick, MLA for Caulfield
Each speaker will outline their plans for better transport in Port Phillip and beyond. The event will be strictly chaired to give speakers equal time. Audience members will also be able to ask short questions and hear responses from the speakers.
The event will also be livestreamed and recorded, with access available later via the MTF website.
St Kilda Town Hall is located at 99 Carlisle Street, St Kilda. Local transport connections include:
> Tram – Route 16 trams stop outside the town hall
> Bus – Route 246: Travels along Punt Road and Barkly Street; get off at the Carlisle Street/Barkly Street stop and walk a short distance to the St Kilda Town Hall.
Route 623: Travels from Glen Waverley to St Kilda, stopping near Chapel Street and Brighton Road, close to the venue.
> Train – 500 m from Balaclava station on the Sandringham Line

Accessible toilets: There are accessible toilet facilities located onsite.
Accessible parking and public transport: St Kilda Town Hall has four accessible car park spaces, two on Carlisle Street and two that are off-road in the Brighton Road service lane car park. Visit Getting Around Port Phillip for accessible transport information.
Hearing loops: Hearing loops are provided in the St Kilda Town Hall and St Kilda Council Chamber.
