Discussing transport issues with major party candidates

The Metropolitan Transport Forum presented a community forum on transport issues in the State Electorate of Pascoe Vale and surrounding areas.

The discussion covered issues including the Upfield rail corridor, accessible transport, road safety and active transport.

The forum included a Q&A session with questions from the live audience.

Merri-bek Mayor Cr Nat Abboud independently chaired the forum, which provided a respectful and orderly setting for discussion with Anthony Cianflone, ALP MLA for Pascoe Vale; Angelica Panopoulos, Greens candidate for Pascoe Vale; Yasemin Shamsili, Victorian Socialists candidate for Pascoe Vale; and other invited speakers.

Each speaker outlined their plans for better transport in Pascoe Vale and beyond. The event was strictly chaired to give speakers equal time, and audience members were able to ask short questions and hear responses from the speakers.
