Free public forum with local candidates in the November State Election about better transport across Box Hill and beyond.

Discuss transport issues with major party candidates

Metropolitan Transport Forum presents this community forum on transport issues in the State Electorate of Box Hill and surrounding areas, hosted by Whitehorse City Council.

Discussion topics could include:
Box Hill to Hawthorn Strategic Cycling Corridor
Upgrading the Box Hill Bus Interchange
Making the bus network ‘simpler, faster and more reliable’

There will be a Q&A session with questions from the live audience.

Professor Graham Currie from Monash University will chair the forum, which will provide a respectful and orderly setting for discussion with confirmed speakers from Labor, the Greens and Liberals.

Confirmed speakers are: Paul Hamer MLA, Labor; Aaron Qin, Greens; and Sally Houguet, Liberals.

Each speaker will outline their plans for better transport in Box Hill and beyond. The event will be strictly chaired to give speakers equal time. Audience members will also be able to ask short questions and hear responses from the speakers.

The event will also be livestreamed and recorded, with access available later via the MTF website.
